We have just received word from eBay today that the iPhoneMyeBay application has been certified as an eBay Compatible Application. To say that I am excited is a bit of an understatement.

What does this mean? What it means is that eBay has put the application through rigorous QA testing and said that it meets it qualifications for working with eBay APIs and providing users of the applications all the benefits available.

This more importantly means that we can now open up the bidding area of the application for you use. Thats right you will now be able to bid anywhere with your iPhone! Wow!!! The bidding includes all the styles of auction that eBay runs including multiple bid, multiple item, and fixed price items. You are able to enact a regular bid or Buy It Now option if available on the item. Like the normal eBay bidding flow you will need to confirm your bid once you enter it so that you don’t make a mistake but that is it:

1. View the item in iPhoneMyeBay
2. Tap
   
3. Enter your bid amount
4. Confirm your bid
5. Done

As well we have included the following other information:

• seller information - seller username and ranking
• payment information - available payment methods as listed by the seller
• shipping information - available shipping methods including calculating of shipping costs when available based on your postal or zip code.

We will be migrating the code over tonight so you may see a temporary page up while we are migrating and testing. But it should not take long.
